We are honored to be named as
a Finalist and as the winner of the National Sustainability Award in the Clean Tech
Open. This is the largest clean tech business competition
in the world. Over 280 companies entered the competition in
2009. They prepared business plans and investor presentations
with help from volunteer mentors, training in the Clean Tech
Accelerator workshop, and many practice presentations. The
business plans must clearly show the path to profitability and
investment details. Judging
of the business plans is done by professional investors, venture
attorneys and management experts. Hydrovolts was named one of
the 12 National Finalists, and is the winner of the National
Sustainability Award.
Sustainability includes sharing best
practices. Therefore we make available here the Sustainability
chapter of our business plan for
download (PDF format). This is the plan that won the National
Sustainability Prize out of more than 280 competing clean tech
companies. We hope it inspires others.
